2024 My dodge charger won't start

Anyway I spent almost $400 on a new shifter mechanism and installed in a few minutes. Plugged it all back in and….. nothing!. Graduation wgu

Start with the battery. If it's dead dead, a jump won't even crank the car without letting the good, running car charge up the dead car for a while. A bad cell will even prevent that.
